Cardboard Furniture |

All the furniture has a purity of form, design and material. Joel Stearn believes the philosophical tenet basic to modernism that good design must be accessible to the masses.
Cardboard is versatile, extremely strong and durable. The Studio Line and Gallery Line will support well over 500 lbs. Tri-wall, used in many of these pieces, takes 1500lbs of pressure in order to puncture it. The test for the durability of these chairs is their ongoing use in public places, restaurants, stores and offices. |
CHAIRS
Piece of art sculpted to fit the body and sanded for softness, the arms raised for easy access. Tri-Wall construction.
Jitterbug

Arms are made of birch wood.
Studio
Available with or without arms and with or without wheels.
Walter
Sanded surfaces on the back and seat. Birch wood adds strength to the back.
Staff Bench
The furniture is made of uncoated corrugated sheet with a variety of coatings available. To guard against grease and liquid, a clear water-soluble polyurethane coating can be applied for $8. per item. This coating is extremely durable and has been used on restaurant chairs, without any replacement for over two years. The furniture can be coated with a water base latex enamel for $10.-$20. per item. Upholstered chairs come with black vinyl, substitute fabrics are available upon request at additional cost.
